I have received nothing but positive feedback about my first blog so I‘m motivated to keep going.

First, I want to tell everyone about last weekend’s Autumn Leaf Festival in Leavenworth. Little did I know that the festival has been going on since 1964; longer than the town has had its Bavarian theme. It’s huge! After the parade on Saturday the tasting room was packed for the rest of the day. Just the way we like it. We even had a crowd of ladies wearing autumn leaf headpieces wander in for tasting. It got a little louder than Vivian and I are used to but its fun talking about our wines and watching people have a good time. If you’re interested in some fall foliage and family entertainment next September be sure to put this festival on your calendar.

Next weekend is the first weekend of Oktoberfest (there are three). Our Leavenworth tasting room opened last year on October 15th so we aren’t exactly sure how this particular festival will affect us. Nobody even knew we were in Leavenworth last year! Now we are on the tasting room map (literally and figuratively). But will everyone be drinking beer and eating bratwurst and not wine? I’ll let you know how it goes.

It should only be days now before you can sign up for RPV’s wine club on this web site. Our first shipment will be going out in December so it will be great timing to sign up a friend or family member for Christmas. And don’t forget to give a gift of wine to yourself! Keep checking - it will be up and running soon, I promise.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions for RPV’s blog or whatever, email me at susan@ryanpatrickvineyards.com. I prefer the positive comments, if at all possible. ☺ Until then, I’ll see you in the tasting room. -Susan
